Brandon Williamson earned his first win in Class Double-A Friday night as the Arkansas Travelers were 7-5 winners over the Springfield Cardinals in Springfield, Mo.
The Martin County West graduate pitched five and two-third innings, allowing just two runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out four. He threw 90 pitches, 51 for strikes.
He's 1-3 at the Double-A level and 3-4 overall this season. He started the year with the High-A Everett AquaSox.
Arkansas has won five straight and is 1.5 games out of first place in the Double-A Central North Division.
