Three Jackson County Central girls and two boys placed among the top 15 finishers at the Dragon Invitational cross country meet Tuesday in Adrian. The Huskies were third in the girls team standings and fourth for the boys.
For the JCC girls, Cora Pauling was sixth in the field of 79 finishers with a 5K time of 21:31.76, Naiya Ayers was ninth (21:6.15) and Elese Paplow 14th (22:22.67).
In the boys race, Evan Paplow placed seventh out of 84 finishers (13:34.90) and EJ Peterson was 15th (18:10.70)
Luverne won both team titles and had the individual champion in each. Jenna DeBates won the girls race (18:42.43) and Owen Janiszeski won the boys (16:28.0).
Jackson County Central will compete in the Big South Conference meet next Tuesday in Marshall.
