Fairmont will have two athletes competing in two events apiece at the Hamline Elite Track and Field meet Friday at Klas Field at Hamline University in St. Paul.
Three other Big South Conference schools will have athletes at the meet. To qualify for the meet, athletes or relay teams must have had a top performance at a MSHSL sanctioned meet regardless of Class 1A, 2A or 3A this season.
The Cardinals’ Nelson Remington will compete in two events and has the second-best qualifying time in both the 200 meter- and 800-meter wheelchair events.
Also, Macy Hanson has the seventh-best qualifying time in the girls 3200 meters and ninth-best in the girls 1600 meters.
