Jackson County Central’s boys placed 10th out of 14 teams, while the JCC girls did not have a complete team for Friday’s Fairmont Invitational golf tournament.
The boys played at Interlaken, with Class 2A No. 7 Holy Family Catholic winning the team title with a 291 total. Minnewaska Area was second with 325.
The Huskies were 10th with 362. Tavin Miller was the low individual for JCC as he finished in a four-way tie for 12th place out of 83 golfers with an 81.
Zac Beddar of Holy Family was medalist with an even-par 71.
Marshall won the girls tournament at Rose Lake Golf Course with a 375, 12 shots ahead of runner-up Fairmont’s 397.
Girls medalist was Blue Earth Area’s Katelyn Storbeck with an 81. Rachel Mohr led as she was 19th of 65 golfers with a 105.
Both JCC teams play in a Big South Conference division event Monday, with the girls hosting theirs at Jackson Golf Club and the boys playing at Pipestone Country Club. Play at both sites starts at 2 p.m.
