BECKER – Three Big South Conference teams appear in the first ratings of the season by the Minnesota Softball Coaches Association.
Pipestone is 12th in Class 2A. In Class 3A, Worthington is ninth and St. Peter 10th.
Three Section 2A teams are rated in the Class 1A poll, with Springfield seventh, Nicollet eighth and New Ulm Cathedral 10th.
Also, there are two Section 3A teams ranked in the Class 1A poll, with Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian fourth and Lac qui Parle Valley sixth.
Two defending state tournament champions are rated first, Becker in Class 3A and Rosemount in Class 4A.
Maple Lake is ranked first in Class 2A, with 2021 state champ LeSueur-Henderson second.
Badger/Greenbush-Middle River is first in Class 1A. Last year’s state champ, Randolph, is fifth.
