Huskies reach 60-point plateau for 12th time
Jackson County Central’s 62-7 win over Worthington Friday marked the 12th time that the Huskies have scored 60 points or more in a game.

The regular season for Minnesota high school football teams is already through the first quarter. There are two games down and six to go.
JCC is tied for first in points scored among Class AA teams and is fourth in points allowed.
The Huskies have scored 106 points for an average of 53 per game, winning 44-0 over Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial and 62-7 over Worthington.
Paynesville has also scored 106 points in two games, beating Montevideo 46-21 and Maple Lake 60-14.

How they fared
JCC was fourth in the Class AA rankings by MaxPreps last week.
Defending state champion Eden Valley-Watkins was first, followed by a pair of schools the Huskies met in the state tournament last year, Barnesville and Caledonia.
There are some good AA matchups in Week 3 with two meetings of state-ranked teams and another rated squad will face the highest scoring AA team in the state.
In the top 10 meetings, No. 1 EVW is at No. 9 Osakis. Osakis is 0-2 with two losses to 2-0 teams, Pillager and No. 10 Kimball Area.
Also next week, Kimball is at high-scoring Paynesville.
