
Jackson County Central remains fourth in the latest state Class 2A football rankings. The rankings are compiled by the Minnesota Star Tribune’s Jim Paulsen and distributed statewide by the Associated Press.
The Huskies are 4-0 on the season and will play at Redwood Valley (3-1) on Friday.
The three teams ahead of JCC in 2A are the same and picked up the 12 first-place votes in the class with No. 1 Barnesville collecting eight, No. 2 Eden Valley-Watkins one and No. 3 Chatfield three.
There is a Top 10 meeting in 2A this week with No. 3 Chatfield at No. 7 Triton.
Fairmont (4-0) is again third in Class 3A behind Stewartville and Dassel-Cokato. The Cardinals play at New Ulm (3-1) Friday.
In addition to Barnesville in Class 2A, teams staying first in their respective polls are Nevis (9-player), Minneota (1A), Stewartville (3A), Becker (4A) and Lakeville North (6A).
The lone new No. 1 is Alexandria (5A).
