Both the Jackson County Central boys and girls basketball teams will be in action in Big South Conference play Friday vs. Belle Plaine. The Huskies will host the boys game and the Tigers are the home team in the girls contest.
Boys game
JCC lost for only the second time this season last Friday when it lost at home to Fairmont, but the Huskies bounced back with a pair of wins earlier this week, winning 71-55 at Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Monday and 65-40 over Pipestone at home Tuesday.
The Huskies are 16-2, while the Tigers are 12-3.
Belle Plaine’s most recent game was an 86-79 win over Jordan Tuesday.
The Tigers won the first meeting between the teams 71-61 in Belle Plaine on Jan. 3.

Girls game
JCC has won 11 straight games to put its record at 14-6. Belle Plaine has lost seven in a row and is 7-11.
The Huskies won two games earlier this week, 95-78 over Maple River in Mapleton Monday and 80-58 at home over Pipestone Tuesday.
Rylie Cother scored 99 points in those games as she had a school record 61 points vs. the Eagles and 38 vs. the Arrows.
Jackson County Central won the first game between the teams 89-70 in Jackson on Jan. 3.
