Matt Juhl and Michael Stien recorded wins at Jackson Motorplex Friday, which hosted the Barb Wieskus Memorial.
Eric Lutz (Sioux Falls) led all but the first three laps of the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series 360 sprint car feature.
However, Lutz failed post-race inspection and Juhl (Tea, S.D.), who crossed the finish line second, was declared the feature winner.
The feature paid paid $3,000 to win in honor of Barb Wieskus. If Juhl runs at Knoxville Raceway Saturday night and wins there, he'll get $3,000 for winning as well as a $3,000 bonus for winning both features.
Roger Crockett (Broken Arrow, Okla.) advanced from eighth to second and received the Hard Charger Award and a bonus from the Wieskus family for passing the most cars.
Skylar Prochaska (Lakefield) placed third, Justin Henderson (Tea, S.D.) fourth and Brooke Tatnell (San Souci, NSW, Australia) fifth.
Juhl set a new track record for 360 sprint cars during his group’s qualifying session. Henderson was quick time in his group. Juhl, Elliot Amdahl (Flandreau), Henderson and Lutz each won a heat race.
The MSTS moves on to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D. Saturday and will be at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids Tuesday.
Stien (Ceylon) led the final 16 laps of the 20-lap RaceSaver Sprint Car Series feature to become the third different division winner in as many races at Jackson this season.
Dusty Ballenger (Harrisburg, S.D.) moved from ninth to the runner-up position, with Jody Rosenboom (Rock Rapids), Jacob Hughes (Hartford, S.D.) and Trevor Serbus (Olivia) filling out the top five.
Stien, Hughes and Zach Foesch (Bird Island) were heat race winners.
The next event at Jackson Motorplex is Tuesday for the finale of the Bank Midwest IMCA Series, with A modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, sport mods and sport compacts competing.
