Both the Jackson County Central football and volleyball teams were in action Friday night.
The football Huskies held off Pipestone 12-7 at Swearingen Field to raise their record to 7-0 and almost certainly solidify the number one seed in the upcoming Section 3AA playoffs.
They’ll close out their regular-season schedule at home Wednesday vs. St. Peter.

Meanwhile, the volleyball Huskies went 0-2 in pool play on the first day of the Todd Bachman Invitational at Lakeville North High School.
Rochester Century defeated the Huskies 2-0 (27-25, 25-5) and East Ridge beat JCC, also 2-0 (25-15, 25-17).
The Huskies play Prior Lake at 10:15 this morning to close out pool play and then move on to bracket play.
