Jackson Bulls Manager Scott Bahr still has some housekeeping to do for the 2023 amateur baseball season.
For example, he still hasn’t compiled final stats from this past season or updated career numbers. I’m teasing. Knowing Scott, I’m sure he has them done. Just the same, I haven’t seen them.
However, thanks to another generous donation from a 1967 Jackson High School graduate, Scott has a good start in one area for 2024, which will be the 40th season of Bulls baseball.
Joe Anderson stopped by Scott’s office recently to give him six dozen Major League baseballs.
Anderson works security for the Texas Rangers.
Many of the balls come from the Rangers, but a lot come from the Los Angeles Angels as well. Anderson also donated baseballs to the Bulls that were used in 2023.
Joe played second base and quarterback for the Jackson Blue Jays. He went on to play at Dakota Wesleyan.
It’s 237 days until the Bulls open the 2024 season.
