The Jackson County Central girls golf team opened its season with a fifth-place finish in the 18-hole Worthington Invitational at Great Life Golf & Fitness.
Murray County Central won the team title with a 416 total. The Huskies shot 459.
Rachel Mohr was low for JCC as she was 13th out of 45 golfers with a 109. Medalist was Murray County Central’s Ava Johnson with an 86.
JCC’s Lily Brinkman had one of five birdies recorded in the on the par-5, 370-yard 12th hole.
Both the Jackson County Central girls and boys are at Windom Tuesday. The Worthington boys invitational is scheduled for Friday.
