Jackson County Central’s boys golf team opened its season Monday with a 187-215 win over Murray County Central at Jackson Golf Club. The JCC girls competed for the second time in three days, dropping a dual to the Rebels 225-267.
In the boys meet, the Huskies’ Kasey Grimmius claimed medalist honors with a 45.
Luke Anderson and Weston Rowe each carded a 46 for JCC and Jessy Gentry rounded out the Huskies’ scoring golfers with a 50. Also for Jackson County Central, Kayden Eller shot a 56 and Mason Eicholz had a 70.
MCC’s Rachel Huso took girls medalist honors with a 48.
Rachel Mohr led JCC with a 63, with Kendal Krumwiede and Isabelle Henning each shooting 66, Ramsey Johnson had a 72 and Payton Coquyt 100.
Both Jackson County Central teams are scheduled to be on the road Tuesday, playing Fairmont at Rose Lake Golf Course.
