Kevin Holm takes a pitch during Jackson’s non-league amateur baseball game vs. Lamberton at Wacker Field Thursday.

Thursday night was about as good as it gets as far as the weather and it was a great night for Jackson baseball teams.

The Jackson American Legion baseball team went on the road and claimed an 11-9 win over Fairmont at Herb Wolf Field.

Cam Scholten pitched six and one-third innings and Trace Michelson got the final two outs.

Also, the Jackson Bulls were 3-2 winners in a non-league amateur baseball game at Wacker Field.

Gavin Jacobsen was the winning pitcher, striking out 16 in seven and one-third innings. Sean Minder got the final four outs, fanning two.

Look for more on both of those games on Friday.
