Jackson County Central finished in third place at the seven-team Section 3A gymnastics meet Saturday in Pipestone.
Worthington won the section meet for the ninth straight year with a 143.935 total. The Trojans will take part in the team competition Friday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.
Luverne was second with 134.275 and the Huskies were third with their 131.875.
JCC was not able to qualify any athletes for the individual portion of the state meet next Saturday.
Payten Benda finished sixth on floor exercise with a score of 9.025, miss a trip to state by one spot. Benda was also eighth on balance beam (8.7), 11th on vault (8.625) and had a score of 7.675 on uneven bars. Her all-around total of 34.025 was good for 10th place.
