
Two area ladies who have devoted countless hours to gymnastics for numerous years were recently inducted into the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
Tammy Handevidt of Jackson and LeeAnn Steen of Sherburn were among five honorees last week at the Lafayette Club in Minnetonka. Both are Jackson High School graduates.
Other inductees were Charlie Aydt of Rogers, Rob Murray of Winona and the late Bill Swanson.
Handevidt is a former coach at Jackson County Central High School and is still coaching in the club program.
Steen coached Martin County West and later Martin County Area and was also involved in the Mavericks/Magic club program.
Both are also judges.
