Jackson County Central school history was made in Fargo this week as for the first time, the school had athletes competing in girls wrestling.
The Huskies had four girls competing.
Freshman Izzy Moonen went 4-2 at 118 and was one win from placing in the top six out of 29 wrestlers at that weight class. All four of her wins came by falls.
Also at 118, eighth-grader Aubrey Carnesi went 1-2.
Freshman Gabriela Rivera (130) was 1-2 and eighth-grader Cameron Peterson (136) was 0-2.
Nobody in that group was the first girl to ever wrestle for JCC however. Look for a newsletter on that this evening.
