Brandon Williamson made his first home start for the Double-A Arkansas Travelers Thursday night and was the losing pitcher in an eventual 8-0 loss to the Frisco RoughRiders.
The Martin County West graduate allowed multiple runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings as his record slipped to 0-2 with the Travelers.
In four-plus innings, Williamson allowed seven runs (all earned) on nine hits, walking four and striking out three. He threw 85 pitches, 49 for strikes.
Williamson was being drafted by the Seattle Mariners out of Texas Christian in 2019. He started this season with the High-A Everett AquaSox before promoted to Double-A Arkansas last month.
