Jackson County Central will open the home portion of its baseball schedule Thursday at Wacker Field by hosting Redwood Valley in a Big South Conference Small School Division matchup. First pitch will be at 5:30 p.m.
The Huskies opened their season Tuesday with a 9-4 nonconference loss at Maple River.
Noah Thompson was the lone player with two hits for the Huskies.
Recording one hit apiece were Trey Rossow, Travis Rogotzke and Thomas Liepold.
Logan Butzon was the starting pitcher for JCC, with Rossow and Rogotzke pitching in relief.
Thursday’s game will be the season opener for the Cardinals.
JCC is then scheduled to travel to Worthington for a 12:30 p.m. game Saturday.
