WINDOM – Both the Windom Area girls and boys hockey teams picked up a Big South Conference victory over Worthington Thursday at Windom Arena. The Eagle girls won 4-2 and the boys were 5-2 winners.
Presley Docktor had two goals and one assist for Windom Area in the girls game.
Victoria Robillard and Ellyson Bang also scored goals for the Eagles. Marenna Bang and Marissa Becker also had assists.
Fiona Robillard made 14 saves for Windom, which had 30 shots on goal.
In the boys game, two Eagles had four-point games as Brady Espenson had two goals and two assists, while Wyatt Haugen had one goal and three assists.
Zach Rabbe and Sonny Heil also scored goals. Zach Espenson was credited with three assists.
Dan Stubbe had 21 saves for the Eagles, who had 49 shots on goal.
Both Windom Area teams play again Friday as the girls host New Ulm and the boys are at Waseca.
