The Jackson County Central baseball team is scheduled to start the week by playing three games in two days at Wacker Field vs. Big South Conference and Section 3AA South Sub-Section opponents.
The Huskies host Pipestone in a doubleheader at 4 p.m. Monday and then St. James Area visits for a single game at 5:30 p.m. game Tuesday.
JCC is 5-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Huskies have been idle since a home loss to Luverne last Tuesday.
The Arrows are 2-5 overall, 0-3 in the conference.
SJA is 1-2 both overall and in league play with a single game scheduled vs. Redwood Valley Monday. The Huskies shut out the Saints 10-0 in St. James on April 18.
JCC is then scheduled to play at Redwood Valley on Thursday.
Golf tourney
The JCC baseball program has a fundraiser golf tournament scheduled as it looks to purchase a new batting cage.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday (May 6) at Jackson Golf Club. It’s a four-person best shot format with a shotgun start scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
Each hole will have a unique attraction and there will be side games like throwing a strike and bean bag toss.
Entry fee is $50 per person. A meal consisting of barbecues, chips, salads and desserts is planned.

Huskies Fighting Cancer
A Huskies Fighting Cancer event is scheduled for Thursday, May 11 when JCC hosts Windom at Wacker Field.
Barbecues, chips, pickles and a bar will be sold for $6.
Serving starts at 5 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 5:30.
