Jackson County Central compiled a 4-1 record in placing third in the Gold Bracket at the Class AA Showcase Friday and Saturday at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse.
The Huskies went 3-0 in pool play.
JCC opened the tournament Friday with a 2-0 win over Barnesville, with set scores of 25-18, 25-12.
Jackson County Central had 19 ace serves in the two-set match.
Sadie Voss was 14-for-16 serving with 10 ace serves. Emnma Haren had four ace serves, Taylor Post three and Alexis O'Reilly two.
Voss also had 10 kills. Maci Farmer 20 set assists and Alexis O'Reilly recorded six digs.
Later Friday, JCC won 2-0 over Norwood Young America (25-15, 25-17).
Farmer had 19 set assists and was 15-16 serving with five ace serves.
Voss had 13 kills and nine digs. Sydney Osterberg had six digs.
In their final pool-play match, the Huskies won 2-0 over Concordia Academy (25-20, 25-20).
Voss had 17 kills, seven digs and was 8-10 serving with three ace serves.
Farmer had 24 set assists, was 11-12 serving and posted nine digs, while Georgianna Wenzel had eight digs and four kills.
In the opening round of play in the Gold Bracket, top-ranked Southwest Christian won 2-1 over No. 4 JCC (25-16, 22-25, 15-12).
Voss had 14 kills and was 9-11 with two ace serves. Emma Haren had eight kills and was 9-12 serving with two aces.
Farmer recorded 26 set assists, seven digs was 8-8 serving with one ace.
In the third-place match, Jackson County Central defeated Caledonia 2-1 (25-10, 22-25, 15-12).
Voss had 14 kills and was 12-14 serving with three aces vs. the Warriors.
Wenzel had seven kills and 9-10 serving with three aces; Haren had six kills and was 10-13 with three aces; Peyton Hanson four blocks; and Farmer has 26 set assists, 12 digs and was 13-13 serving with one ace.
Voss was named to the all-tournament team. She averaged 5.7 kills, 2.8 digs and 1.7 ace serves per set in the tourney.
JCC has a 15-3 match record, with each loss coming to a team rated first in the state.
The Huskies' losses have come to Minnesota Class AAA No. 1 Marshall and AA No. 1 Southwest Christian, as well as South Dakota Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian.
JCC's set record is 38-13.
The Huskies return to Big South Conference West Division play at home Thursday vs. Pipestone.
