
South Sub-Section top-seeded Jackson County Central is scheduled to open play in the Section 3AA softball tournament on Tuesday.
The Huskies, 18-3 following Saturday’s 11-5 loss to New Ulm in the Big South Conference championship game, are slated to host two games.
Fourth-seeded Windom plays fifth-seeded Minneota/Canby in the single elimination first round at 4 p.m., with the winner facing the Huskies in a game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. JCC receives a bye into the double elimination portion of the tourney.
Jackson County Central swept a doubleheader from the Eagles (9-0 and 19-5) on April 8 and has not played the Vikings this season.
Windom defeated Minneota/Canby 4-1 when those teams met on May 10 in Windom.
Pipestone is seeded second in the South Sub-Section and will also host two games on Tuesday.
Hosting games in the North Sub-Section Tuesday will be top-seeded Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta and second-seeded Dassel-Cokato.
