JACKSON – Jackson County Central rallied after falling behind 5-0, but St. James Area scored two runs in the sixth inning to beat the Huskies 7-5 in Big South Conference Small School Division baseball on Senior Day Monday at Wacker Field.
The Saints scored three runs in the first, one in the second and one in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. JCC scored all five of its runs in the fourth to tie the game 5-5. SJA then scored twice in the sixth.
Payton Handevidt had two hits including a two-run triple, Levi Lindley also had two hits including a triple and Trace Michelson had two hits and an RBI.
Logan Butzon also had a hit for the Huskies.
Andrew Boyum pitched the first three innings for JCC, Butzon pitched three and two-third innings and Brett Rossow finished up.
Jackson County Central is scheduled to be at home again Tuesday, hosting Redwood Valley.
