Jackson County Central’s football season came to an end Friday with a 41-12 loss to Barnesville in the semifinals of the state Class 2A football playoffs at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Huskies’ touchdowns came on an 89-yard kickoff return by sophomore Ben Dahlin in the second quarter and a 49-yard run by freshman Roman Voss in the third.
JCC finishes the season with a 12-1 record.
Minnesota high school football teams are only guaranteed nine games (eight regular season and one postseason), but this is the 11th time in 25 full seasons the Huskies have reached double figures in wins. The 2020 season was cut short due to COVID.
Barnesville will play Chatfield in the state 2A championship game on Friday, Dec. 2. The Gophers defeated Eden Valley-Watkins 27-12 in the other semifinal.
