JACKSON – Pipestone came out on top of Jackson County Central in both the girls and boys games in Big South Conference West Division basketball Friday.
The Arrows won the girls game in Pipestone 86-84 and the boys contest 57-53 in Jackson.
In the girls game, Sadie Voss tied the school record for points in a single game as she scored 44 in the loss. She shares the record with Alaina Wolff, who scored 44 in an overtime win over Worthington on Jan. 8, 2019.
Voss also charted six rebounds and three assists.
Maci Farmer scored 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Georgianna Wenzel and Emma Haren each had seven rebounds. Rylie Cother had six assists.
The Arrows are 6-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play, while the Huskies are 12-7 and 5-5.
Jackson County Central has a stretch of five games in eight days ahead.
The Huskies host Blue Earth Area Monday and travel to Marshall Tuesday. JCC is then at Tri-City United Friday, hosts Caledonia next Saturday and Martin County West on Monday, Feb. 14.
JCC’s boys challenged Class 2A No. 16 Pipestone in its game but came away with the loss.
Erik Hesebeck scored 24 points for the Huskies and Travis Rogotkze 17.
Jackson County Central is 8-11 overall and 4-5 in the conference, while the Arrows are 14-3 and 7-2.
The Huskies are at Spirit Lake on Monday and then host Marshall on Tuesday and Tri-City United Friday.
