JACKSON – The Jackson County Central baseball team closed out the home portion of its schedule Thursday with a 10-8 win over Worthington at Wacker Field.
Trace Michelson and Cameron Scholten had two hits apiece for the Huskies, who are now 8-9.
Payton Handevidt homered for JCC.
Also recording hits were Levi Lindley, Bryson Powers, Ben Spaeth, Logan Butzon, Damien Phaly and Lucas Vesey.
Handevidt was the starting pitcher for Jackson County Central and went into the fifth inning. Scholten came on in relief before Andrew Boyum would finish out the inning. Brett Rossow went the final two innings.
The Huskies have two road games to close their regular-season schedule, playing at Martin County West Monday and Adrian/Ellsworth on Tuesday.
