Top-seeded Jackson County Central will open the Section 3AA football playoffs and will host eighth-seeded Windom Area in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Field.
The Huskies are 8-0 on the season while the Eagles are 0-8.
JCC won the regular-season meeting the teams 48-6 at Island Park in Windom on Friday, Sept. 23.
Jackson County Central’s final game in the regular season was a 28-7 win over St. Peter while Windom lost at Pipestone 62-28.
Tuesday’s winner advances to the semifinals on Saturday at the site of the higher seeded team against the winner of the game between fourth-seeded Redwood Valley (3-5) and fifth-seeded Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial (2-6).
On the other side of the bracket, second-seeded Pipestone (6-2) hosts seventh-seeded St. James Area (1-7) and third-seeded Minnesota Valley Lutheran (5-3) entertains Sibley East (1-7).
The championship game is Friday, Nov. 4 at Mattke Field at the Schwan Regional Event Center in Marshall.
