ST. LOUIS PARK – Jackson County Central is second in Class 1A and Martin County eighth in Class 2A in the latest team wrestling polls conducted by The Guillotine.
JCC had been third in the first two team polls of the season.
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa went from second to first, with previous No. 1 Kimball Area sliding to third.
Jackson County Central is scheduled to wrestle No. 1 BBE and No. 6 Long Prairie-Grey Eagle-Browerville in a triangular on Friday, Feb. 11 at Belgrade. Also, the Huskies are slated to host No. 8 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
JCC has six ranked individuals, including a pair of top-ranked wrestlers, Nolan Ambrose (113 pounds) and Payton Handevidt (160).
Two Huskies are rated second, Kie Anderson (126) and Logan Butzon (138).
Also, Caleb Vancura (195) is ranked fourth and Matthew Haley (170) is rated seventh.
Jackson County Central’s next competition is the Rumble on the Red in Fargo Wednesday and Thursday.
In Class 2A, Martin County slipped a notch to eighth in the team ratings. Simley remains first.
The Red Bulls have four ranked wrestlers.
Max Olson (220) is ranked sixth, Jesse Potts (132) and Carver Rohman (160) are both rated eighth and Kain Sanders (145) is 10th.
St. Michael-Albertville continues to lead the Class 3A team ratings.
