Jackson County Central opened its volleyball season Saturday night with a 3-0 win over St. James Area in the last of seven matches played during the day at the Big South Conference Showcase.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-16, 25-7.
Sadie Voss led the Huskies in kills with 14 and she was also 10-for-13 serving with three ace serves.
Alexis O'Reilly was also 10-13 serving with three aces and led JCC in digs with seven.
Maci Farmer, who is new to the setter position this season, put up 24 set assists. She was 9-9 serving and recorded five digs.
Georgianna Wenzel had seven kills, was 5-8 serving and had three digs. Emma Haren was 11-13 serving with an ace and posted three kills.
Taylor Post was 8-9 serving and had five kills, Andria Benson was 6-6 serving with two aces and Peyton Hanson had three kills.
The Huskies open their home schedule Tuesday vs. Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda and then have another nonconference match Thursday at Spirit Lake.
