Jackson County Central won 11 of the 13 matches and earned six points for each of those victories in claiming a 66-8 win over St. James Area/Madelia in the quarterfinals of the Section 3A team wrestling tournament Thursday night in Jackson.
The Huskies won 10 matches by fall and received one forfeit.
JCC, 14-2, will wrestle Pipestone (13-9) in a semifinal match at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Murray County Central in Slayton. In the other semifinal, also at 12:30 p.m., Adrian/Ellsworth (15-8) takes on Fulda/Murray County Central (18-8).
The winners will wrestle for the section title in a match scheduled for 2:30 p.m. That winner will compete in the state Class A team tournament on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
