WINDOM – Winning 12 of the 14 matches, the Jackson County Central wrestling team defeated Adrian 60-12 in a makeup dual Friday evening as the Huskies improved their record to 12-3.
One JCC wrestler won by fall, Cameron Scholten (285).
Picking up forfeit wins were Nolan Ambrose (120), Andrew Boyum (132), Dylan Withers (152), Isaiah Rodriguez (160) and Payton Handevidt (170).
Two Huskies won by technical falls, Kie Anderson (126) and Logan Butzon (138).
Winning by major decisions were Thomas Freking (145) and Caleb Vancura (195). Recording decisions were Alex Mohning (113) and Matthew Haley (182).
The next match for the JCC varsity is the Big South Conference championship match vs. Martin County at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 in Trimont.
NGWL state
Jackson County Central will have four wrestlers competing in the Ninth Grade Wrestling League state tournament Saturday at Champlin Park High School.
Representing the Huskies will be Isaac Rodriguez (100), Ben Dahlin (113), Quinn Landherr (138) and Clay Malchow (145).
Martin County will have two wrestlers competing, Pierce Rohman (88) and Torrey Paplow (94).
