Jackson County Central finished third in a field of 10 teams at the Shoreland Invitational boys golf tournament Tuesday at Shoreland Country Club in St. Peter.
Class 2A fifth-ranked St. Peter was first with a 291 total, Bloomington Jefferson was second (314) and the Huskies third (340).
Sam Brinkman led JCC as he placed 12th in the field of 54 golfers with an 80, with Kasey Grimmius right behind as he tied for 13th with an 81.
Tavin Miller tied for 24th (87); Luke Anderson was 38th (92), Nolan Ambrose tied for 39th (93) and Weston Rowe was 51st (98).
Medalist was St. Peter’s Ethan Moreau with a 70.
Both the Jackson County Central boys and girls golf teams are scheduled to play on three consecutive days, hosting Worthington in a dual Thursday, traveling to Windom Friday and competing in the Fairmont Invitational Saturday with the boys at Rose Lake and the girls at Interlaken.
