The Milroy Irish came into Jackson County on Sunday and before they headed for home, they had two amateur baseball wins and the lead in the Gopher League standings.
Milroy defeated Jackson 6-4 in eight innings at Wacker Field after earlier claiming a 13-0 win in Lakefield. Both games were scheduled for seven innings.
The Bulls had a 4-3 lead after six innings, but the visitors scored one in the seventh to tie it and then scored two in the eighth.
Evan Olesen had four hits for Jackson. Getting one each were Andy Wolf, Chris Gumto and Blake Evans.
Alex Bretzman, Olesen, Will Larson and Talan Holm all pitched for Jackson.
Earlier, Milroy’s Trevor Smith limited Lakefield to three hits. Brett Rossow took the loss for the Frogs. Noah Thompson also pitched.
Gabe Wolff, Taylor Christopher and Bryce Christopher each had a hit for Lakefield.
Jackson is on the road two nights in a row, playing at Lamberton Tuesday and in Truman vs. Fox Lake on Wednesday. Lakefield hosts Luverne on Wednesday.
The Bulls will host the Frogs at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wacker Field.
