Lacey (Wacker) Reitz has earned academic all-American honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America for the second time in her career.
The Jackson County Central graduate, who completed her career with the Northwestern College volleyball team this spring, has been named to the first team has been named to the first team. She was a second-team selection last year.
She graduated from Northwestern with a degree in Physical Education/Health while carrying a 3.85 grade-point average.
On the court, Reitz recorded 1,082 assists in the Covid-shortened season, averaging 11.15 assists per set for the Red Raiders. She finished second in career assists for Northwestern with 5,359.
Reitz was also second on the team in service aces with 21.
Northwestern had a 22-5 record this season, 13-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Red Raiders were second in the GPAC tournament and won three matches at the NAIA national tournament before losing to GPAC foe Midland (3-1) in the quarterfinals.
