JACKSON – Gavin Jacobsen allowed only two hits and struck out 14 batters in an eight-inning complete game win over Heron Lake at Wacker Field Wednesday as the Bulls defeated the Lakers 11-1 in a First Nite League game.
Jacobsen struck out two batters in six of the eight innings. He walked two batters.
The Bulls scored three runs in the first inning, one in the second, four in the seventh and closed the game out with three in the eighth.
Alex Bretzman had two hits for Jackson.
Lucas Gardner had a bases-loaded triple and Ryan Rasche a two-run double. Also getting hits for the Bulls were Andy Wolf, Shad Wacker and Evan Olesen.
Jackson’s scheduled non-league game at the Milroy Yankees Saturday has been canceled. The Bulls are home for two on Sunday, hosting Mountain Lake at 2 p.m. and Lakefield at about 5 p.m.
