Jackson County Central was fourth in the boys team standings and sixth for the girls at the Fairmont Early Bird cross country meet Friday.
The meet uses a different format from traditional meets as the runners compete by grades and was held on a 4K course rather than the usual 5K distance.
Marshall won the boys team title with 11 points, followed by Mountain Lake Area second (13), Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet fourth (24) and JCC (26). There were eight complete teams and two incomplete squads.
Jackson County Central's Andrew Boyum won the 12th-grade race with a time of 14:13, which was also the best time for any grade for the boys.
Olivia Anderson had the fastest time for the JCC girls, finishing fourth in the 12th-grade race in 17:42.
Marshall also won the girls team title.
Next for the Huskies is the Paul Metcalf Invitational in Mountain Lake on Friday.
