Second-seeded Jackson County Central hosts seventh-seeded Windom in the opening round of the Section 3AA football playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Field.
JCC has a 5-3 record, while Windom is 1-7.
The Huskies won their regular-season finale at St. Peter 26-20 last Wednesday, while the Eagles lost 34-26 at home to undefeated Pipestone. The Arrows scored the winning touchdown with 3:15 remaining.
Jackson County Central defeated Widom 50-6 at home on Sept. 24.
Also on that side of the bracket in the quarterfinals, third-seeded Redwood Valley (6-2) hosts sixth-seeded Sibley East (1-7).
On the other half of the bracket, top-seeded Pipestone (8-0) entertains eighth-seeded St. James Area (0-8) and fourth-seeded Minnesota Valley Lutheran (4-4) hosts fifth-seeded Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial (2-6).
Quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinals at 3 p.m. Saturday at the site of the higher seeded team.
The Section 3AA championship game is at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 at Southwest Minnesota State University.
