Jackson County Central is one of 10 Class 2A football teams in the state that has a 4-0 record to start the season.
After last week there were 14 teams that were 3-0, but four of those teams that lost on Friday.
Taking their first loss were Minnesota Valley Lutheran (Section 3AA), Cannon Falls (4AA), Staples-Motley (6AA) and Mesabi East (7AA).
The number of undefeated 2A teams is guaranteed to be reduced by two more in the second half of the regular season.
Chatfield plays at Caledonia on Friday, Oct 6; and Eden Valley-Watkins visits Holdingford on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
