Jackson County Central won its first two matches before falling in the finals of Bracket D at The Clash National High School Wrestling Duals in LaCrosse Friday.
The Huskies defeated Willard, Mo. 43-16 and Glenbard North, Ill. 48-20 before falling 46-24 to Bettendorf, Iowa.
Four JCC wrestlers went 3-0 on the day.
Kayden Eller won each of his matches by fall; Thomas Freking had a fall and two decisions; Matthew Haley recorded two falls and a technical fall; and Caleb Vancura had two falls and a major decision.
Kyler Their was 1-0.
Nolan Ambrose and Isaiah Rodriguez were 2-1.
Ambrose, rated first at 132 pounds in Class 1A in Minnesota, had a 75-match winning streak come to a close as he lost a 6-5 decision to Jayce Luna, who is ranked No. 1 in Iowa.
Compiling 1-2 records were Isaac Rodriguez, Benjamin Dahlin, Trey Rossow, Braydan Winter, and Cameron Scholten.
Landon Andrews was 0-1. Going 0-2 were Dallas Gossen and Skyler Andrews. Seth Stai was 0-3.
JCC will wrestle in Division II Saturday evening and will have three more duals.
The Huskies face Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 4 p.m. and then take on a pair of Iowa teams, wrestling Waverly-Shell Rock at 6 p.m. and Osage at 8 p.m.
