Jackson County Central remains fifth in Class 2A in the latest high school football ratings by The Associated Press.
The Huskies shut out Redwood Valley 35-0 last week and will receive a forfeit victory from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial this week.
JCC’s opponent next week, Pipestone Area is again sixth in the 2A poll. The Arrows host Luverne this week.
The top nine teams in the 2A ratings remain the same. Rated ahead of JCC and Pipestone are Chatfield, Minneapolis North, Caledonia and Barnesville.
Martin County West made it into the top 10 in the Class 1A poll as the Mavericks are ninth. MCW hosts Murray County Central in its homecoming game Friday. BOLD is in the top spot in Class 1A for the second straight week.
Waseca is tied for seventh in the 3A ratings. Esko is the new number one.
Marshall slipped a notch to seventh in Class 4A. Stewartville is the new No. 1.
The other leaders remain the same, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (9 man), Mankato West (5A) and Maple Grove (6A).
