Six was the magic number for Jackson County Central in its first-round Section 3AA football playoff game with Windom Tuesday at Swearingen Field.
The Huskies scored the first six times they had the ball, six JCC players scored touchdowns and six caught passes in a 58-6 win over the Eagles.
Second-seeded JCC, 6-3, hosts third-seeded Redwood Valley (7-2) at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Huskies defeated the Cardinals 21-18 at Redwood Falls on Oct. 1.
Gabe Wolff only carried the ball twice, with both going for touchdowns on plays of 43 and 39 yards.
Levi Lindley had three carries for 18 yards including TD runs of 6 and 5 yards.
Payton Handevidt ran 57 yards for a TD, Will Freking had a three-yard TD run, Seth Stai scored on a 31-yard run and Noah Thompson scored from 14 yards out.
Roman Voss was 4-for-4 passing for 45 yards and Brennan Runge was 2-3 for 46 yards.
Saturday’s other semifinal has Minnesota Valley Lutheran (5-4) at Pipestone (9-0). The winners play at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in the championship game at Southwest Minnesota State University.
