The Jackson County Central volleyball team capped off a busy week by compiling a 2-3 record at the two-day Twin Cities Challenge at Eastview and Burnsville High School. The Huskies played five out of six days from Monday-Saturday.
In pool play Friday at Eastview, JCC defeated Mille Lacs 2-1 (17-25, 25-19, 15-9) and then Eastview topped the Huskies 2-1 (25-16, 22-25, 15-12).
That put Jackson County Central in the Silver Bracket, where it opened with a 2-0 win over Bethlehem Academy (25-18, 25-23).
Holy Angels would then beat the Huskies 2-0 (25-21, 25-17) and White Bear Lake was a 2-1 winner over JCC (16-25, 25-20, 15-13).
The Huskies host Windom in a Big South Conference West Division match Tuesday.
Both teams are 3-2 in conference play. JCC is 9-12 overall and has a set record of 29-36 while Windom is 13-7 in matches and 38-19 in sets.
