Hopefully the final week before holiday break will be a little better for getting events held as scheduled will be better than last week.
Here’s what’s on the schedule involving Jackson County Central student-athletes.
Tuesday, Dec. 20
JCC’s girls basketball team has a nonconference home game vs. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on the schedule. The Huskies, who haven’t played since Dec. 8, are 3-1 overall while the Buccaneers are 2-3.
The JCC boys basketball team also has not played since Dec. 8, having had three straight postponed but hopes to get on the court at Luverne. The Huskies are 2-1 overall and the Cardinals are 1-2.
Jackson County Central’s wrestlers get back to dual meets with a Big South Conference West Division triangular at Worthington vs. the host Trojans and Marshall. JCC is 2-0 in conference duals while the Trojans and Tigers are both 1-0.
The Huskies’ gymnastics team (1-0) is at Redwood Valley Tuesday. It will be the first conference meet for the Cardinals.
Also Tuesday, the Windom Area boys hockey team will be at Fairmont. The Eagles are 2-3 overall and 1-1 in league play and the Cardinals are 0-4 and 0-2.
Thursday, Dec. 22
JCC’s boys basketball team is slated to host Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey in a nonconference game. The Wolverines are 0-2 on the season with a game vs. Hills-Beaver Creek Tuesday before coming to Jackson.
The Windom Area girls hockey team has a Big South Conference game at Fairmont. The Eagles are 3-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play while the Cardinals are 1-5-1 and 0-4.
