Each of Jackson County Central’s fall sports teams have one competition scheduled this week.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
The JCC cross country teams will both compete in the Murray County Central/Fulda Warriors Invitational at Slayton Country Club.
The schedule calls for the 7th- and 8th-grade boys and girls to run 1600 meters together at 4:30 p.m., varsity girls (5000 meters) at 4:45, varsity boys (5000 meters) at 5:05 and JV boys and girls (5000 meters) together at 5:20.
In addition to the Huskies and host Warriors, teams scheduled to compete are Adrian/Ellsworth, Martin County West, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey, Pipestone, Springfield/Cedar Mountain, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, Worthington, and Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton.
Thursday, Sept. 29
Jackson County Central’s volleyball team will travel to Pipestone for a Big South Conference West Division match vs. the Arrows.
JCC is 11-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
The Arrows, who are at Redwood Valley Tuesday before hosting JCC on Thursday, are 14-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Pipestone’s losses have both come to state-ranked teams in tournament play, to Class 2A No. 4 Sauk Centre at the Sauk Rapids-Rice tournament and to Class 1A No. 10 BOLD at the Wabasso tourney. The Arrows also defeated BOLD at that tournament.
Saturday, Oct. 1

That stretch starts with 1 p.m. game at Swearingen Field vs. Redwood Valley.
The Huskies are 4-0 after a 48-6 victory at Windom. The Cardinals are 0-4 after a 35-7 loss to Pipestone in their recent game.
