Each of Jackson County Central’s fall sports teams will conclude their regular-season schedules this week.
It’s a short week with no events after Wednesday because of Education Minnesota’s MEA conference on Thursday.
Monday, Oct. 17
JCC’s volleyball team closes the regular season at Fairmont.
The Huskies have a record of 17-11 after going 2-3 at the Todd Bachman Invitational at Lakeville North High School.
The Cardinals are 5-16.
Jackson County Central then has a long break from competition as the Section 3AA South Sub-Section tournament does not open until Friday, Oct. 28.
Tuesday, Oct. 18
The JCC cross country teams will compete in the Big South Conference meet at Cedar Creek Park in Fairmont.
Varsity girls run at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity boys at about 5:30.

Wednesday, Oct. 19
It appears the Jackson County Central will be the number one seed for the Section 3AA playoffs regardless of the outcome of its 7 p.m. game vs. St. Peter at Swearingen Field.
The Class 2A fourth-ranked Huskies are 7-0 while the Class 4A Saints are 3-4.
First-round section games are Tuesday, Oct. 25.
