Jackson County Central went undefeated in five matches, dropping two sets along the way in winning the Carolyn Hummel Invitational Saturday.
In pool play, the Huskies defeated Westbrook-Walnut Grove 2-0 (25-12, 25-18), Worthington 2-1 (25-19, 21-25, 15-9) and Rochester John Marshall 2-0 (25-15, 25-10).
That put JCC in the Gold Bracket, where it opened with a 2-0 win over New Ulm (25-22, 25-15).
The Huskies then defeated Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 2-1 in a tightly contested championship match (23-25, 25-23, 20-18).
Sadie Voss, who earlier in the day went over the 1,000 kill mark for her career, had a double-double of 15 kills and 10 digs in the championship match.
Maci Farmer had 23 set assists.
