One driver with local connections will start near the front in the A Main, one is in B Main and two will be in the E Main for Saturday’s final night of the 61st Knoxville Nationals.
Three of those drivers competed in Friday’s Hard Knox Night.
Brooke Tatnell (Sans Souci, NSW, Australia) drove the DeWall Racing No. 16 to an 11th-place finish in the A Main after placing second in his heat. He’ll start on the inside of the ninth row in Saturday’s B Main.
Matt Wasmund (Jackson) was 12th in his heat Friday, placed 22nd in the D Main and seventh in the C Main. He starts inside in the fourth row for the E Main Saturday.
Skylar Prochaska (Lakefield) finished 10th in his Friday heat and was ninth in the C Main. He’s on the inside of the seventh row for Saturday’s E Main.
David Gravel (Watertown, Conn.) will be on the outside of the second row of Saturday’s A Main in the Big Game Motorsports No. 2.
Austin McCarl (Altoona), a weekly driver at Knoxville will start on the pole, with Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis) alongside in the front row.
Donny Schatz (Fargo) will be on the inside of the second row, with Gravel on the outside. In the third row will be Carson Macedo (Lemoore, Calif.) and defending champion Kyle Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.).
