
Hockey fans in Minnesota might find themselves a little sleep-deprived for at least the next week. The Wild are in the postseason for the 14th time in franchise history, including 11 of the last 13 seasons.
Game 1 of Minnesota’s Western Conference First Round series vs. the Vegas Golden Knights is scheduled for a 9 p.m. start Sunday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Game 2 starts later, set for 10 p.m. start on Tuesday.
The series then shifts to Minnesota, but the late starts continue as they’ll drop the puck for Game 3 at 9 p.m. Thursday at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Game 4 is a matinee at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Start times for any additional games are to be determined.
It’s the second time the teams have met in the playoffs. Vegas won 4-3 in a First Round series in 2021.

LW Kirill Kaprizov has 10 points (10-2 = 12) in 19 career playoff games, including a franchise-record seven goals (7-1 = 8) vs. St. Louis in the first round in 2022.
D Jared Spuregon (8-21 – 29) in 67 games is the franchise’s leader in playoff goals, assists and points among defensemen.
The Wild made a franchise record six consecutive playoff appearances from 2013-18, joining Anaheim and Pittsburgh as the only teams to make the playoffs in each of those seasons.
Vegas has qualified for the Stanley Cup Playoffs for three consecutive seasons including the organization’s first Stanley Cup title in 2023 when the Golden Knights defeat the Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers to win the championship.
Fleury was 117-67-14 with a 2.41 GAA and a .917 sv% and 23 shutouts in 192 games with Vegas from 2017-21.
