JACKSON – The Jackson Bulls closed out their league schedule Wednesday night with a 6-1 win over Pipestone.
Jackson scored its first run in the second inning as Chris Gumto singled to score Lucas Gardner.
The Bulls increased their lead to 4-0 with a three-run sixth inning. One run scored on a wild pitch and Gabe Wolff delivered a two-run double.
Jackson squeezed in two runs in the seventh as Ryan Rasche and Blaise Jacobsen both put down successful bunts.
The A’s scored their run in the ninth inning.
Mason Pohlman and Shad Wacker had two hits apiece for Jackson.
Three pitchers combined to limit Pipestone to two hits.
Racsche pitched seven innings to record the win, allowing one hit and striking out nine. Sean Minder pitched the eighth inning and Evan Olesen the ninth.
Jackson has two non-league games to close out its regular-season scheduled, traveling to Wells Saturday and hosting Luverne Sunday. The Bulls and Redbirds played a league game earlier this season.
